There is a conversation that’s not being had.

Not about supplements and protocols. Not about the 14 Lancet risk factors or how to optimize your Zone 2 cardio.

The conversation about what it actually feels like to carry this.

The waves. The grief. The days when you feel recommitted and hopeful—and the days when it feels carved in stone and you wonder why you bother. The exhaustion of trying to keep up with all the things while also being a mother, a daughter, a partner, a person with a full and complicated life. The particular loneliness of sitting at a dinner table where everyone else is eating the pasta—and feeling like you can’t explain why you’re not.

The conversation about the sheer human reality of imperfection. About competing needs and priorities. About the fact that sometimes life wins—and that doesn’t make you a failure.

We need more grace and less grit.
More self-compassion and less self-punishment.
More humanity and less protocol.

That conversation? It's happening here.

Does this sound like you?

  • Your mind moves in waves—some days hopeful and recommitted, other days defeated, wondering what the point is.
  • You've been doing things, maybe a lot of things, and you're ready for the kind of support that makes it actually stick.

  • You’re exhausted by the “we’re gonna beat this” energy—with no room for any other emotion.
  • You want to manage your risk without being consumed by managing your risk.
  • You’re carrying this mostly alone—because most people in your life don’t really get it.
  • You want to be around women who genuinely get it—without comparison, competition, or having to explain yourself.

If any of that landed—you’re exactly who
The Brain Trust was built for.

What The Brain Trust Is

  • The Brain Trust is a monthly membership community for women navigating high dementia risk—led by Deb Blum, Dementia Prevention Coach, Brain Longevity™ Specialist, and APOE4/4 herself.
  • This is not a protocol delivery system. Not a place where you’ll be handed more things to do and left to figure out how. Not another forum where everyone seems to be doing more than you.
  • It’s a community where you are treated as the whole, complex woman you are. Not just a risk profile. Where your humanity, your competing needs, your social pressures, and your real life are all considered and honored. Where self-compassion isn’t a soft alternative to taking action — it’s the foundation from which you rise.
  • You’ll probably make more meaningful progress here than anywhere else you’ve tried. Not because we push harder. Because we slow down, create safety, and build from there.
  • We're not a heavy space. We are a hopeful, inspiring, real one. A place where the hard days and the wins can coexist—where nobody has to perform positivity or hide in the struggle, nor withhold celebrations and progress. Where we hold the full range of human experience together, and rise from it.

What You Won't Find Here:

  • Pressure to implement everything at once
  • Judgment about what you haven’t done yet

  • Another space where everyone seems to be doing more than you
  • The exhausting “just fight harder” energy

What you will find: grace alongside the grit. And the relief of finally being understood.

This Is Exactly What I Need! I'm In!

What Makes The Teaching Calls Different

Most brain health resources give you more information, more things to optimize, and more reasons to feel behind.

The teaching calls in The Brain Trust are different. We’re not here to add to the pile. We’re here to address what’s underneath it.

Instead of: How to optimize your supplement stack → We talk about: Why it’s so hard to ask for what you need at a restaurant for fear of being “too much” or “extra”

Instead of: The 14 Lancet risk factors → We talk about: How self-compassion actually creates more change than pressure

Instead of: Zone 2 cardio protocols → We talk about: How to find your present-day why (the reasons that matter today, not just in 20 years)

Teaching Calls The Brain Trust

Instead of: The latest trending suggestions → We talk about: How to work with the pressure, perfectionism, and overwhelm without letting it drown you

Instead of: The details of getting into ketosis → We talk about: How to talk to your family about being APOE4, and what it means for your lifestyle and theirs

And in our group coaching calls:

All of the practical stuff is absolutely welcome. Brainstorming how to get into ketosis. Making a plan for more Zone 2. Deciding which of the Lancet 14 to prioritize. Supplement questions, lab discussions, exercise planning, breaking down your next step into something actually doable.

Bring it all. The difference is we meet the whole person first.

The Magic of Group

There's something that happens in a group that cannot happen alone.

In a well-held group, we discover we're more similar than different. The fear we thought was uniquely ours turns out to be shared. The thing we were too ashamed to say out loud—someone else just said it. And suddenly it stops being shameful.

For the woman who stays quiet—there's profound healing in simply witnessing. You don't have to share to be changed. You just have to be present.

For the woman who generously fills the space—there is something equally powerful in learning to receive. In being held instead of always holding.

Someone will say exactly the thing you needed to hear, without knowing you needed it. That is the particular gift of collective wisdom. It cannot be manufactured, it just arrives.

Group Calls The Brain Trust

I've been leading groups for over 10 years—and Zoom-based groups for five. I know how to create the safety that makes this possible. The kind of safety most of us have never experienced with other women. Where your authentic self is welcome—not the curated version you bring everywhere else.

This is where we find ourselves in each other. Where we grow not through pressure, but through presence.

And it’s what The Brain Trust is built around.

Serious Deb

A Note From Deb

I built The Brain Trust because I know what it feels like to carry this alone — and I know what it feels like to finally not have to.

When I found online APOE4 communities, I felt less alone. But I also found myself constantly comparing, constantly feeling behind, constantly absorbing the urgency of everyone else’s protocols.

What I wanted was a space where the fear and challenges had somewhere to go. Where I could talk about the dinner table where everyone else is having pasta while I’m quietly navigating my own low-carb plate. Where someone understands why I go to bed at 9pm wearing blue light glasses while my family watches a movie—and wouldn't make me feel like I was missing out on my own life.

Where the science matters AND the human being navigating it matters just as much.

Where we could be honest about the hard days without drowning in them. Where we could celebrate the wins without performing them. Where self-compassion is the starting point—not the consolation prize.

So, I created it: The Brain Trust.

I carry two copies of the APOE4 gene. My mother had vascular dementia. I’ve been a coach for over 13 years. This isn’t my job. It’s my life.

And I bring all of it —every bit of it—into every single call.

I can’t wait to meet you inside.

This Is For You If...

  • You know your risk and feel the urgency, and you want support actually doing something about it

  • You want to be around women who understand the specific weight of this, without comparison or competition

  • You want ongoing support, not a one-time fix

  • You want someone to help you figure out your next right step, and celebrate it when you take it

  • You’re done doing this alone

  • You want more grace and less grit. More self-compassion and less self-punishment. More humanity and less protocol.

This isn’t for someone looking for a supplement list or a quick fix. It’s for the woman who is ready to take the long view—with support, with compassion, and with a community beside her.

Questions?

No — The Brain Trust is open to anyone navigating high dementia risk. That said, members who pair The Blueprint with The Brain Trust tend to get more from every call because they arrive with a personalized plan already in hand. It’s not required, but it’s the ideal path.

Enroll in The Dementia Prevention Blueprint here - a focused one-month 1:1 experience where you and Deb build your personalized prevention plan together.

No. The Brain Trust is for anyone navigating elevated dementia risk — APOE4 carriers, women with family history, or anyone who feels the urgency and wants support doing something about it.

Every call is recorded and available in your membership site. Show up when you can. Watch the recordings when you can’t. The community is there either way.

The forums are valuable—but they can also be overwhelming, comparison-heavy, and protocol-focused. The Brain Trust is intentionally smaller, warmer, and led live over Zoom—which means real faces, real voices, real connection. Deb shows up on every call. The focus is on the whole person behavior change, self-compassion, sustainable action, and genuine human connection.

Bring it. The group coaching calls are open to everything—supplement questions, lab discussions, exercise planning, prioritizing which risk factors to address next, and breaking down that next thing into small steps. The teaching calls focus on the human side. The coaching calls hold all of it.

Call times are being co-created with our founding members. Join now and help shape the schedule.
