I never really "accessed" my inner child the way some people describe it.
No profound meditation where she appeared and everything clicked.
For me, it's been a process.
About 15 years ago, I got curious about self-love. Do I love myself? What does that even mean?
Turns out, I didn't know how to love myself because I didn't actually know myself.
I read John Bradshaw's Homecoming book and got even more curious.
I realized that I did seem to have many parts - scared, angry, happy, confident, awkward.
So I started having conversations with those parts.
And came to understand that they were younger (hurting) versions of me, frozen in time, still waiting for me to come back for them.
That's inner child reparenting.
And it's brought me (and my clients) incredible healing.
If you've struggled to "access" your inner child, you may want to listen to The Whole Soul Way™ course on Season 1 of my new podcast: ELATE.
